A serene sanctuary amidst the downtown hustle and bustle, RuMa is a hotel that captures all the intimacy of a home run by an accomplished host.
Jalex collaborated remotely with MQ Studio's Design Director, Andy Hall based in Shanghai, blending Malaysian heritage seamlessly with contemporary design. From the curve terracotta birdcage and the twin spiral hanging metal staircase as guest walk into the hotel to the hand woven kelarai 'checkered motif' apparent throughout the spa.
The hotel's façade cladded with limestone was executed in a separate contract by Stone Empire Marketing - a member of the Jalex Group.
